I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Connecticut. I completed my Ph.D. at the University of British Columbia.
My research interests lie at the intersection of energy, resource, and environmental economics and industrial organization. In particular, I am interested in how industries can accelerate the transition to cleaner technologies. My research applies structural modelling from IO to understand how policy interacts with firm behavior and technology. My current projects focus on maritime shipping and trade, agriculture, and electricity, as well as on combining machine learning with economic models for measurement and policy analysis.
In a previous iteration I was a microtechnology engineer specializing in micro-fluidic devices. In my spare time I prefer to be pedaling a bike.
